Ariana Grande is asking for $10m from forever 21 since they “stole her name” to promote clothing and products.
Ariana said, that the firm had published at least 30 “unauthorized “ images and videos that suggested she had endorsed the brand.
They also hired a model that resembled the singer for some of its social media posts.
Ms. Grande said, “the firm had approached her in 2018 about an endorsement.
However, this agreement broke out because the amount offered to her by Forever 21 to use her name and likeness were insufficient for an artist of her stature.”
In Federal court of California, she said, that rather than paying and going through mutual agreements. They instead just used a look-alike and piggy banking off her fame to sell.
Trust us, the model resemblance is “uncanny”
Diet Prada also rose up to share a few images of the ‘ uncanny resemblance.’ They also shared a few other snapshots of celebrities like Kim Kardashian West faced the same issues a while back.
Forever 21 declined to comment on the lawsuits.
Instead, they said, “that they are a huge supporter of Arian Grande and have worked with her licensing company for over two years.
We are hopeful that we will find a mutually agreeable resolution and can continue to work together in the future.”
